Our four-stage development cycle

1. Requirements - This is where you help us to understand the needs of both your business and of the prospective users of the solution that we are developing, and we help you to identify the technology that will work best for you. This enables us to produce a detailed specification of the solution that will act as the basis for working out costs and timescales for the project. All of this is subject to your approval, and can be changed to accommodate varying requirements as the project runs its course.

2. Implementation - We design and implement the solution according to the specification and carry out a range of support tasks to ensure the highest possible quality of the end solution. These include identifying and eliminating risks (both technical and non-technical), reviewing requirement changes and advising you of their impact on the cost and/or timescale and carrying out internal testing to identify and remove any problems with the software. We aim to provide regular interim deliverables, so you can assess progress at key stages of the implementation rather than waiting until the end of the development before you see anything.

3. Testing - Our in-house Quality Assurance team test every part of the solution thoroughly, reporting any faults to the development team for rectification. We use a variety of testing methods which may include a controlled release of the solution to selected users who are representative of the end user base as a whole.

4. Delivery & Support - When all the faults identified by the various testers have been fixed and you are satisfied with the quality of the solution, we enter the delivery & support phase, during which we release the final solution to you in an agreed format (e.g. live website or CD-ROM) and provide any documentation and training necessary to support the delivery. Thereafter, we can provide support for the solution, including additional training, maintenance and feature upgrades, under terms suited to your requirements.
