News Management System (NMS): News management is a system used to manage the content of a Web site. It allows administrators of a site, who may not know anything about Web design, to manage the creation, modification, and removal of content from a Web site without needing the expertise of a Webmaster.
The modification of content using a NMS is as easy as logging into a website as an administrator, and clicking one of two buttons: "create new content" to add new articles, pictures, blogs, etc. to the site; or "edit content" to edit any content already on the site. Each section of the online newspaper is automatically configured for the content to appear where and how you want it. Photos are automatically resized and placed correctly, articles per section automatically format and get placed properly without any additional work from your staff.
In addition to adding, deleting and changing articles and photos on a site, a NMS allows administrators to have full control over which menu items appear, how the general layout of the site should look and the overall management of the site, such as retrieving subscription information.
Our newspaper websites are designed to work for you to seamlessly integrate with your working environment. We can create custom layouts with the ability to support multiple news sections and web-only content. Premium content services are also available to allow for your newspaper to tap into revenue bearing areas such as integrated classified as systems, real estate listings, e-delivery subscription services and more.
